Chilly Today and Not Much Found

My sister went with me today and we had a great time. We tried to find Old Augusta, Ms. and after some research found the general location only to discover that it is private property now. Old Augusta is one of the oldest towns in this area and in 1857 hanged the notorious murderer, James Copeland. Sometime in the early 1900's the town moved across the Leaf River and is today, New Augusta. We stopped at a few other places on the way to Black Creek Wilderness area but found very little. Between the two of us we found one quarter and six pennies, a couple of pieces of metal and she found a Spiderman toy. I am not sure of the date on the quarter as it is covered in a green patina and the date is not visible. The pennies were all relatively new except one which was badly damaged. We had a nice day and plan to hit the beaches of Gulfport on Friday.
